2 weeks ago I was suffering from Acute Pharyngitis and when I went for my check up the doctor was confused as to why do I have a swollen neck, he checked my throat and he asked me to do a blood test to check if I have Thyroid nodules, I did do a blood test a week ago and today my report came in, the doctor said he has a doubt if I have or not (he didn't tell us the blood report results clearly) he told me to go to a surgeon and get a ultrasound done of my throat. Now this week I got a sore throat again but it isn't that bad.
My parents are in total shock about this because neither of their families have ever gotten Thyroid nodules and they really don't know what to do. I am terrified of going to the surgeon.
What should I do? have anyone of you guys ever been in this kind of situation? I am only 15 years old.

I really wish I could help you there, Diva, but I have absolutely no knowledge about your condition, and I doubt anyone else in this forum would know, either. This isn't the best place to get that kind of information. Try searching Google about it, and maybe look for medical forums where people with the appropriate knowledge can give you the answers you're looking for. I know it'll all be well at the end. Be strong!

Hey Diva! Be brave hun. I haven't had thyroid nodules but i do suffer from hypothyroidism, which usually affects older woman than myself and had ovarian cysts before. Going through any kind of medical problem can be rough and completely draining. It's really important to keep a positive attitude! It will help you get through it also talk to people who are close to you they will help you get through it too. And of course we will all be here for you. You don't have to feel like you are facing this alone.
